Training and Technical Assistance

A key component of CEII's small and micro business lending program is the provision of intensive training and technical assistance services to all borrowers. 

 

CEII staff provides one-on-one technical assistance at all phases of the loan process: pre loan, during the application stage and post loan closing.  Technical Assistance services typically involve developing a business' bookkeeping system, learning how to utilize the system, understanding financial statements and being in compliance with all tax and governmental reporting requirements. 

 

The cost for these services is derived from our annual SBA training and technical assistance grant and from CEII's own internally generated loan program revenues. 

 

The availability of these training and technical assistance services is critical to CEII's ability to minimize loan losses from lending operations.
